We’re headed back to Detroit with the Flenory brothers. The STARZ hit crime drama series BMF returns for season 2. Based on the true story, it follows the unconventional journey of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory Jr.) and Terry “Southwest Tee” Flenory (Da’Vinchi) from rags to riches during the war on drugs in the 80s. The ambitious duo gives birth to the Black Mafia Family and cements themselves in hip-hop and culture. The drama series also stars Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, Kelly Hu, La La Anthony, Arkeisha “Kash Doll” Knight, Snoop Dogg, Christine Horn, Sydney Mitchell, Rayan Lawrence, and Serayah McNeill.

Season 1 debuted in September 2021, telling the story of the brothers’ rise from high school students to students of the drug game, eventually graduating to kingpins. The season ended with the elimination of a threat which soon proved to cause more chaos than remedy. Audiences can look forward to an emotional second season as Big Meech and Southwest Tee continue to pursue their American dream amidst a system stacked against them. Season 2 will also welcome Oscar-winning actress Mo’Nique and comedian Leslie Jones as recurring characters. In addition, Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee will make a special guest appearance.

Randy Huggins is the showrunner, executive producer, and writer of BMF. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is an executive producer under G-Unit Film and Television in association with Lionsgate Television for STARZ. Heather Zuhlke, Anthony Wilson, and Anne Clements are also executive producers of the series.

BMF premiered Friday, January 6, on the STARZ app. Season 1 can also be streamed in full on the STARZ app.
