Keke Palmer wins major film award in Vienna

On 14 September 2022 Vienna Independent Film Festival culminated with the awards ceremony held in Vienna, Austria honoring the finest films in modern independent cinema. The festival featured many eminent film stars.

Sports drama “Playing Through” by Balbinka Korzeniowska received the Grand Prix, Best Feature, Best Director and Best Actress (Julia Rae) awards. “Playing Through” tells the fascinating true story of golf player Ann Gregory, who was a pioneering female athlete and civil rights advocate.

Film director, actress and singer Keke Palmer won the Best Musical Film award for her film “Big Boss” at Vienna Independent Film Festival 2022.

Best Musical Film winner “Big Boss” directed by and starring multi-talented Keke Palmer is a semi-biographical story about her life and career. The film features impressive song and dance numbers. Actress and singer Keke Palmer, well known for starring in Jordan Peele’s  blockbuster “Nope”, is one of the most biggest stars in Hollywood.
